Farming is a tough, wonderful business – just ask any of us involved.  We curse the weather, yet enjoy every sunrise and sunset.  We work in close contact with our families which is both wonderful and tough.  We are affected by global activities beyond our control yet relish the opportunity to nourish the world and take care of our planet…and yet, we wouldn’t have it any other way!  We are proud of what we do!

Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers Program (OYF) is a unique program designed to recognize farmers and farm couples who exemplify excellence in their profession.  The program is open to farmers or couples who derive at least two-thirds of their income from farming operations.

Congratulations to 2019 Saskatchewan Outstanding Young Farmers, Jason and Jenna Ranger of Jaran Farms from Shellbrook, SK. They are pictured here receiving the award from one of our Charter Sponsors, FCC, represented by Darren Howden, SVP. The Ranger’s will travel to  Fredericton, NB from December 4 – 8, 2019, where they will compete with the  6 other regions at the National Event of Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers Program.
